|
| Why
we are here: We are here to help you achieve the
highest perfection of human existence through the divine process
of Krishna consciousness, the essence of all religious practice,
as it is revealed in the ancient Vedic scriptures of India
especially the Bhagavad-gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam.
|
|
| Who we are:
We are a small but growing community of Hare Krishna
devotees in Austin, Texas. |
|
| Where we are:
We meet in different homes in North Austin. To
attend our next meeting call for information: (512) 835-2121 or email us at sda@backtohome.com
|
|
| What we do: Our
worship services are ecstatic! We hold kirtan (the
congregational chanting of the holy names of God), we have a
class on the Bhagavad-gita, and we partake of a delicious feast
of vegetarian foods having been made sacred by first being
offered to Lord Krishna. |
| What you can
do to help: Please participate in our
activities by coming and associating with us in chanting,
worshipping, hearing, and partaking of sacred foodstuffs
(prasadam). |
|
| How we do it:
Krishna Consciousness, love of God, is cultivated by the
congregational chanting of the Lord's holy names, by hearing and
inquiring from spiritually advanced Krishna conscious teachers,
and by partaking of prasadam (sanctified food.) We
cordially invite you to our Sunday worship service which includes arati, Bhagavad-gita class, and finally, a delicious vegetarian feast.
