While visiting Tavua, Fiji in 1998 I would set up daily and sing
in front of Veenas Curry Corner in the center of town.
It was a daily joyous transcendental street-happening featuring
the Hare Krishna Mantra. As the buses would roar by I would wave
at the passengers and they would enthusiastically wave back.
Throngs of local villagers would put aside whatever they were
up to and gather around to blissfully absorb themselves in hearing.
Time seemed to stop, and everybody became absorbed in the Holy
Names of God. It was absolutely ecstatic!
